Terms of Use

1. Welcome, youngster

By creating an account or using The Curse of Pepper Legs ("we," "us," "the app"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app. The app is a game; treat it as one.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Don't share your password, and don't impersonate another person with your display name. We can suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms.

4. Content you post

You're responsible for everything you upload — curse titles, descriptions, comments, and photos. By posting, you confirm:

• You own or have the rights to the content, including any photos of recognizable people (get their okay first).
• The content isn't illegal, harassing, hateful, sexual, or harmful to anyone.
• You're not planting anything dangerous, illegal, or that belongs to someone else without permission.

We moderate reported content and can hide, edit, or remove anything that violates these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how your content is displayed.

5. The physical game

Pepper Legs encourages hiding and passing physical objects in public places. You do this at your own risk. Don't trespass, don't leave objects where they could cause harm or alarm (no unattended packages in airports, no items in food, nothing that looks like a weapon), and don't endanger yourself or others. We aren't responsible for what you do with a cursed object in the real world.

6. Purchases & in-app billing

We sell physical merchandise (shirts, sticker booklets) via Stripe. Physical goods are governed by these Terms and our refund policy. If we offer a premium account or any digital subscription in the future inside a downloaded app from Apple or Google, that purchase will be billed by Apple or Google directly under their own terms — not by us — and their refund policies will apply.

7. Your license to us

You keep ownership of your content, but you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and share it within the app (including in the public gallery and on public curse pages) for the purpose of running the game. This license lasts until you delete the content or your account, except where content is already part of another user's chain of custody.

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any cursed object will actually be found. Real curses are not real. Any mischief that befalls you is your own doing.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or your participation in the physical game.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for any reason at our discretion.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
